Institute of Nutrition and Food Science Alumni Association (INFSAA) is a non-political, non-aligned, voluntary learned society of the alumni and faculty of the Institute of Nutrition and Food Science, University of Dhaka.
It was founded in 2012 by a group of alumni who attended a reunion.

INFSAA History
The Institute of Nutrition and Food Science Alumni Association (INFSAA) was founded in 2012 by a group of dedicated alumni from the Institute of Nutrition and Food Science, University of Dhaka, during a reunion event. INFSAA is a non-political, non-aligned, and voluntary society aimed at bringing together alumni and faculty to support and enhance the academic and professional pursuits of the institute. Over the years, INFSAA has grown into a vibrant platform, fostering connections among alumni, facilitating knowledge exchange, and promoting the overall development of its members and the institute.
INFSAA Mission
INFSAA is dedicated to:
Strengthening the social and professional bonds among alumni and the Institute of Nutrition and Food Science.
Supporting the academic and research activities of the institute by raising funds, offering research grants, and providing financial aid to students.
Promoting collaboration among alumni, faculty, and students to contribute to the field of nutrition and food science.
Vision
INFSAA envisions a strong, dynamic network of alumni who contribute to the growth and success of the Institute of Nutrition and Food Science, creating a lasting impact on academic excellence, research innovation, and professional development. Through mutual support and knowledge exchange, INFSAA aims to be a global leader in advancing nutrition and food science education and research.Organizational Structure
INFSAA operates through two key bodies: the General Assembly (GA) and the Executive Committee (EC).
General Assembly (GA): The General Assembly consists of all alumni with valid membership in INFSAA. It serves as the primary decision-making body for major organizational matters and meets regularly to review and approve proposals.
Executive Committee (EC): The Executive Committee is responsible for the management and day-to-day operations of INFSAA. It is composed of elected members, including:
President (1), Vice Presidents (2) General Secretary (1), Joint Secretary (1), Treasurer (1), Organizing Secretary (1), Office Secretary (1), International Affairs Secretary (1), Social Welfare and Cultural Secretary (1), Sports Secretary (1), Members (10).
The Vice Chancellor of the University of Dhaka serves as the Chief Patron, while the Director of the Institute of Nutrition and Food Science is the Patron. Elections for the Executive Committee are held every two years, with members elected by the General Assembly.
The Executive Committee is tasked with organizing events, managing funds, and overseeing all INFSAA activities, ensuring the association's objectives are met effectively.
